About Nexus

Nexus electrical hand-crafted string instruments have an excellent record of retaining — or even increasing — their value over the years.

Because of the limited number of instruments Jacek Kobylski is able to build — all designs and instruments are handcrafted by him — our guitars are more valued and sought after by musicians and collectors.

Whether you choose a Nexus Custom-Build instrument or an even more exclusive Master-Build, you can be sure that Jacek will craft it with care and unwavering attention to every detail. All materials are carefully selected to meet our demanding standards.

Faqs

  • 1. Are NEXUS instruments handcrafted?
Yes. Every NEXUS instrument is handcrafted by Jacek Kobylski. From design and wood selection to final setup, each bass or guitar is built individually with uncompromising attention to detail.
  • 2. What types of instruments does NEXUS build?
NEXUS specializes in handcrafted bass guitars and electric guitars, with a strong focus on vintage-inspired designs, modern playability, and lightweight construction.
  • 3. What is the difference between Custom Build and Master Build?
A Custom Build allows you to personalize key specifications within proven designs. A Master Build is the most exclusive option — fully bespoke, with complete freedom of materials, finishes, and details, crafted as a one-of-a-kind instrument.
  • 4. Can I choose my own specifications?
Yes. Wood selection, pickups, electronics, finish, neck profile, and hardware can all be tailored to your preferences. Every instrument is built to order.
  • 5. What does Super Light” mean?
Super Light refers to carefully selected tonewoods and construction techniques that significantly reduce weight without compromising tone, balance, or sustain.
  • 6. Do NEXUS instruments hold their value?
Due to limited production, handcrafted quality, and strong demand, NEXUS instruments have an excellent record of retaining — and often increasing — their value over time.
  • 7. Can I visit the workshop or have a personal consultation?
Yes. Face-to-face consultations are a key part of the NEXUS philosophy. Personal meetings help ensure the instrument truly fits the player’s needs and vision.
